I wanted to constrain myself to portraying Nike athletes as they have an interesting roster. I’m quite interested in how my portraits changed a slight amount when I added the Nike swoosh into the design. I think the power of a major brand trademark adds a sort of seal of approval to any work it adorns. As consumers we all subconsciously pick this up in some way and I think my work here was accepted more by observers because of the association with a juggernaut of a brand
