The culture of sport extends further than the arenas they are played in. Likewise, football kit culture goes far beyond what we see players wearing on the pitch from week to week. Italian giants AS Roma have teamed up with Nowhere F.C. to create a custom line of lupetto inspired shirts, hand-dyed jerseys and luxury scarves.
The jerseys fuse retro colour and a unique hand-dyed mix, with a vibe of 90’s grunge-inspired range blended with Roma themed icons and slogans. In an era when mundane kit templates sets the standard, its great to see football brands embracing independent designers and manufacturers to produce custom kits such as these, and its something we hope to see more of going forward.
Nowhere F.C. are a New York-based soccer collective who regularly team up with Nike to create special custom kits for clubs around the globe. Founded in 2010 by designer Diego Moscoco, they were born out of passion for the sport and New York City and were inspired to create a hub for the game both on and off the field.
