Ever wondered what would happen if two of the most iconic football kits in calcio, recognised all over the world, came together to be as one? No, not quite a merger, but Parma and Sampdoria have joined forces to unveil these unique mash-up kits. A collaboration born from kit manufacturers Erreà and Joma (in itself a groundbreaking achievement), the special kits will be on display when the teams meet at the Stadio Tardini on matchday 36 in Serie A. Parma will wear a Gialloblù version of the Sampdoria kit while the Blucerchiati will wear a special version of their kit featuring the Crociati’s cross.
Blucrociati – Not Just Colours is the official name of the collaboration, celebrating the gemellaggio (twinning) of the two historic clubs. The kits seek to preserve the clubs’ own identities and historic colours in embracing the respect that each fanbase has for the other. After the Series A meeting between the sides, the match-worn kits will then be put up for auction, with funds raised donated to local hospitals in Genoa and Parma.
