Manolas – You Shall Not Pass, new wall for AS Roma’s defensive wall, Greek international Konstantinos “Kostas” Manolas.
Having lost money-whore previous centre-back stalwart Mehdi Benatia to Bayern last summer, many thought AS Roma would find it tough to fill the void. They need not have worried, as Manolas has been a rock since joining the Serie A side.
For a man of only 23, he plays with such assuredness, such confidence in his own defensive ability, you could easily mistake him for hardened veteran in the Franco Baresi mould.
