A new logo for Modena F.C.

“For us, flying is not a dream, but a necessity”

Emilia-Romagna based Serie B club Modena Football Club have a new logo. In a complete change, a stylised canary replaces the historic coat of arms. Known as I Canarini (The Canaries), the club was brought back to life in 2018 by new owners the Rivetti family after financial difficulties. New club president Carlo Rivetti, a native of Modena, also happens to be president of legendary fashion brand Stone Island. Trendy or what? Now, with a recent promotion to Serie B after a six year absence, the club has a fresh new look for a fresh new future.

“This is a return to the future.” said Mattia Rivetti, nephew of President Carlo, when unveiling the new logo at a press conference. The Canary has always been part of the history of Modena. Our fans recognise each other in this way, and bringing back the image of the canary in the world of football, and in the world in general, is an added value for the club.”

The club also signed a new deal with US based kit manufacturer New Balance, who replace previous supplier Kappa. The striking Modena home kit has a modern design in bright yellow and navy blue trimmings, with a slight geometrical pattern. The club also announced a new partnership agreement with data consulting group Driblab, to integrate advanced statistics and data analysis for player scouting in the club. The future is certainly looking bright for I Canarini.
