Roma Art Series: Fabrizio Birimbelli

As you may have seen, recently I have had the pleasure to contribute to ASRoma.com for its RomaArt series and share a lot of the wonderful art of all things giallorosso. The series will be ongoing, so be sure to keep an eye out for more great entries soon.

Fabrizio Birimbelli puts a new spin on Francesco Totti, Antonio Rudiger, Kevin Strootman, Luciano Spalletti and Agostino Di Bartolomei, as well as additional pieces of Radja Nainggolan and Mo Salah.

The 42-year-old, who lives in Rome, has been a Giallorossi supporter all his life.

“My father took me at Olimpico for the first time when I was  eight or nine years old,” revealed Brimbelli. “I’ll always remember the first time I walked from the steps and saw the green field and heard the chants and in those days, there were still the drums.

“I think I had no choice but to support Roma. My father and my big brother taught me to love these colours and more than this, that no matter if you win or lose: la Roma non si discute si ama.”

Regarding his designs, he admits that it’s a hobby rather than work.

“I started drawing by myself and continued painting and then using a PC and since then a graphic tablet. It’s not my job but I love graphics and I like to keep on experimenting.”
