All fans of Italian football are no doubt familiar with the classic Panini figurine collections of days gone past and in particular that great 1990’s era of Serie A. This seriously cool project by one of our favourite designers Angelo Trofa imagines where these famous modern-day stars of world football would have fitted with teams of that classic era.
As we all know Serie A was the best league by a country mile then (and hey, perhaps its getting back there) and for me, the thoughts of South American greats like Messi and Aguero not playing in the great Italian league just seems plain wrong. Great idea and wonderful execution. Now, where’s my old Panini collection…
